ROOTS & BEGINNINGS

A story of resilience and return

HsH Dshaikh Izuchukwu—Ezeokwelume IV and IsiMmili N’Nimo-Owelle II—is a Nigerian-American strategist, Christian elder, community builder, heritage advocate, and founder of IzuchukwuCenter for Leadership and Rural Development in Nimo, Anambra State, Nigeria.

Born in Kano, he lived through the upheavals of 1966 and the Biafran War after his family returned to Nimo. At sixteen and a half, he moved to the United States for college in 1976.

Purpose made visible

As a Christian elder at Potomac Valley Church in Virginia and a leader in apologetics, Dshaikh Izuchukwu believes faith gains credibility through service. His philosophy, Dshaikhism, places discernment, integrity, family, courage, contentment and love governed by truth at its center.

He is married to Dr. Ifeoma S. Izuchukwu, a physician and professor of clinical medicine who has served as a United States Air Force colonel and flight surgeon. They have four children: Kenechukwu, Chidera, Amaechi and Obianuju.

LOOKING AHEAD

Preserving a living heritage

His vision includes a cultural museum and heritage research complex in partnership with Nnamdi Azikiwe University, alongside work in youth mentorship, public education and rural transformation.
